Safari Now Vaccinating with Canine Influenza H3N819 Nov

The first canine influenza vaccine has now been approved.
Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health is pleased to inform you that a new tool to help broaden protection against canine respiratory disease has now received a conditional license from the USDA. Canine Influenza Vaccine, H3N8 is the first vaccine to offer protection against this serious emerging disease.

Administered as a subcutaneous injection followed by a second dose 2-4 weeks later, the vaccine is packaged in two convenient presentations: 25 x 1 mL and 5 x 10 mL (practical for shelter environments). It will be available for purchase in the beginning of July and will be officially launched at AVMA on July 12.
